The Sony DWT-P30 is a third-generation DWX Digital Series wireless plug-on transmitter compatible with the DWR-R03D rackmount and DWR-S03D slot-in receivers as well as all previous DWX Digital Series receivers.
The compact transmitter features tough magnesium housing and a standard 3-pin XLR input connector, allowing you to plug in the handheld XLR mic of your choice for performances, interviews, and presentations. The unit delivers professional-quality, 24-bit digital audio and is ideal for large-scale, multichannel applications, including broadcast and film production.
The DWT-P30 operates in a single, ultrawide 140 MHz UHF bandwidth and offers selectable 2/10/25mW RF output power, extremely low latency, and a transmission range up to 300'. Four codec modes provide flexible options, allowing you to prioritize sound quality, latency, or compatibility with previous generations. AES 256-bit encryption is on board for secure transmission. Two AA batteries power the unit for up to 6 hours, while the micro-USB port can also supply power while in operation.
Transmitter functions, including gain control, RF frequency selection, RF power output, low-cut filter, and low-power sleep mode, can all be controlled remotely from the portable DWR-S03D receiver or the rackmount DWR-R03D receiver. The DWR-R03D features networking capabilities, allowing you to control multiple transmitters via a computer running Sony's Wireless Studio control software, for high-channel count applications.
Additional compatible receivers include the DWR-R02DN, DWR-S02DN, DWR-S02D, DWR-R02D, DWR-R01D, and the DWR-S01D.
MODE2: Prioritises short latency times while maintaining transmission stability and high audio quality.
MODE3: Additional signal processing suppresses noise caused by unexpected pulse interference.
MODE4: Prioritises audio quality while maintaining transmission stability and low delay time.

Superb Audio Quality Wireless Transmission and Reception High-quality 24-bit digital audio is transmitted and received within a specific frequency bandwidth meeting Wireless Communication Regulations for each country. Using Sony's original codec design based on years of audio engineering expertise, the DWX system delivers a wide dynamic range of more than 106 dB, wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 22 kHz, and excellent transient response. High-Density Multichannel Operation Ideal for large-scale productions, the DWT-P30 supports high-density, simultaneous multichannel operation. 375 kHz spacing accommodates up to 21 channels per 8 MHz TV band, or up to 16 simultaneous channels per 6 MHz TV band. Low Audio Latency and High-Quality Sound Ideal for live applications, the system achieves an extremely low audio latency time of 1.2 msec, with a 96 kHz sampling rate for very-high quality sound (codec MODE2, with DWT-R03D). Flexible Audio Input Control The audio input level can be manually adjusted over a 48 dB range in 3 dB steps. Line and microphone input supported levels are supported. Transmitter audio attenuation can be controlled from receiver side using Sony wireless remote control system. Selectable RF Output Power RF output power level is selectable (2/10/25mW) to prioritize stable multichannel or long-distance operation. USB for Power Supply A USB DC power source can be used for long-term operation or as an emergency power supply. Flexible Battery Options and Long Battery Life The DWT-P30 can be operated with a variety of AA-type batteries including alkaline, lithium, or NiMH. Alkaline batteries allow up to 6 hours of runtime. Cross Remote Monitor/Control Functions Input attenuation, RF frequency selection, RF power output, audio low-pass cut-off frequency, and transmitter Sleep Mode can all be controlled remotely from the DWR-S03D slot-in wireless receiver. Wide Bandwidth 140 MHz bandwidth enables flexible operation with wide channel selection. Four Codec Modes for Wide Range of Applications MODE1: Compatible with first-generation DWX-series devices.
MODE2: Prioritises short latency times while maintaining transmission stability and high audio quality.
MODE3: Additional signal processing suppresses noise caused by unexpected pulse interference.
MODE4: Prioritises audio quality while maintaining transmission stability and low delay time.
Low-Noise Head Amplifier The system's improved digital modulator ensures highly stable wireless transmission that is extremely tolerant to unwanted interference. In addition, data transmission and reception with AES 256-bit encryption minimizes the risk of interception to assure highly secure transmission and reception. User Settings Memory User settings can be easily stored and loaded.Wireless Technology | |
